Loyal readers,

I must inform you of some terrible news. Last week, my grandmother informed me that BiancaJo.com was not loading for her. I checked it out, and sure enough, the website wouldn’t load. I was not immediately worried, as 3ix, the web hosting company I had selected, constantly has issues with my website. I waited a couple of days, and when the site still did not return, I sent their support team an e-ticket to get the situation resolved.

3ix’s team informed me that my forum had been spammed, and because of this, they saw it fit to completely disable my entire domain. Obviously, I was a little bit upset about this, as they did not notify me in any manner that they would take such drastic actions. Eventually, they put my website back online. However, they still refused to reinstate the blog and forum due to the “spammer.”

I was so upset by this that I have switched to Monster Hosting. For $180 biannually, I expected more from 3ix. I can’t say that Host Monster is any cheaper, but I’ve called their support and spoken with them. Not only do their phones work (3ix live chat people admitted that the number listed on their website doesn’t work), but they were very helpful.

However, I still need what is called an Admin Verification Access Code. Host Monster sent the email containing this code to contact@privacyprotect.org because the information on BiancaJo.com’s WhoIS does not contain my personal email address. I need 3ix to give me the code, but I continue to get the runaround. I’m not sure where to go from here, but if you have any ideas, please let me know.

Unfortunately, the blog and the forum are all but lost. The blog’s information.. can’t be replaced. I don’t have copies of earlier posts. I’ll try to replace them as time goes on, but I can’t make promises. As for the forum.. I’m not convinced I’ll end up replacing it. It was more trouble than it was worth. A larger post about how terrible 3ix is is forthcoming… of that, you can be sure.

I’m happy to be back.

Yours,
Bianca
